The Opportunity
 

Veolia ANZ is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Leading Hand to join our water team in Rocklea, 4106. 
 

As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in overseeing the performance of our relining crew, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and community standards. Your expertise will drive efficiency through effective planning, productivity, and cost management.

What you’ll be responsible for
 

• As a Leading Hand, you'll report to the Project Supervisor and be responsible for:
• Providing effective leadership and coaching to field crews
• Overseeing on-site activities and competition of site specific risk assessment and permitting
• Planning and organising activities to ensure efficiency and compliance
• Providing technical expertise on the relining process
• Continuously improving project delivery and outcomes by driving productivity efficiencies
• Demonstrating a strong commitment to safety and engaging field crews in all aspects of safety management.
• Implementing safety, quality, environmental, and compliance processes and procedures
• Monitoring and maintaining the quality of the relining process, including checking for proper curing temperatures and durations, ensuring the correct application of materials, and conducting quality inspections to meet industry standards.
• Effectively communicating with team members and supervisors to coordinate the relining operation, report any issues or concerns, and ensure a collaborative and efficient work environment.
• Liaising with the community and external stakeholders on site

What You’ll Need to be Successful
 

• Demonstrated experience within pipe relining
• Excellent communication and organisation skills
• Able to mentor and maintain a positive team environment
