Title:  Maintenance Technician

The Opportunity

Veolia ANZ is seeking experienced Electrical or Mechanical Technicians to join our Rockhampton team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in ensuring the effective operation and maintenance of critical water infrastructure including a state of the art Water Filtration Plant, River Intake Pump Station, 120 km Pipeline, and 2 x 2ML Reservoirs.

What you’ll be responsible for

• Operate and maintain pump stations, treatment plants, and reticulation systems to meet contractual requirements

• Conduct water sample collection and laboratory analysis

• Monitor, optimse, and report on plant and system performance

• Perform routine and breakdown maintenance on all plant equipment and systems

• Respond to and rectify SCADA alarms and troubleshoot equipment issues

• Maintain accurate records in the CMMS system

• Plan and execute scheduled maintenance tasks

• Participate in on-call roster with after-hours response as required

• Ensure compliance with WH&S, Environmental, and Quality Systems

What You’ll Need to be Successful

• Trade qualifications or tertiary qualifications in chemistry or process discipline

• Experience in process industry operations, ideally water/wastewater treatment

• Knowledge of water treatment practices and chemistry
