Veoliais seeking a highly skilled and experienced Water Treatment Manager to join our team in the beautiful Queenstown/Wanaka region. What you'll be responsible for

About the Role:
As the Water Treatment Manager, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all resources to ensure our water treatment facilities and pump stations operate effectively, safely, and in compliance with all regulations. You will oversee a team of 8+ direct reports and report to the Network & Assets Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure contractual and resource consent compliance
  • Manage operational and maintenance tasks for all facilities and equipment
  • Identify and resolve maintenance and process challenges
  • Develop and maintain effective staff rosters and on-call duty schedules
  • Contribute to health and safety, quality assurance, and environmental management systems
  • Manage consumables, materials, and spare parts inventory
  • Support staff development and knowledge sharing
  • Deliver on-call service at the 3rd on-call layer

What you'll need to be successful

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 5+ years of supervisory experience in 3 waters infrastructure, focusing on water treatment assets
  • Water Treatment qualification (Connexis level 5) or equivalent
  • Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Hands-on experience in water treatment processes and technologies
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in relevant software
