We have an opportunity for an expereinced Operation Excellence Health and Safety Coordinator to join the Veolia team in Queenstown. This is key role responsible for driving continuous improvement in Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) practices while optimising operational efficiency within the Queenstown Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team. This position plays a crucial role in fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and operational excellence.

This position requires a proactive, results-oriented individual who can balance the demands of safety compliance with operational efficiency, while fostering a positive team culture and driving continuous improvement across all aspects of the Queenstown O&M operations.

What you'll need to be successful

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field
  • SHEQ management certification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH)
  • 5+ years of experience in operations management
  • Proven track record in implementing cultural change initiatives
  • Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and industry standards
  • Experience with performance management systems and KPI development
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools
