The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Machine Operator to join us at Veolia, based out of our yard in Frankton, Queenstown, who is keen to break new ground and be part of a high performing team, delivering quality 3 waters infrastructure solutions to one of the fastest growing communities in the country.

What you'll be responsible for
- Take part in pre-start meetings - understand the hazards and the plan to control them, always speak up if not sure
- Operate plant and machinery as directed by supervisor / foreman
- Ensure machinery checks (e.g. tyres, oil and grease, plant pre start) completed and necessary maintenance completed before machinery is operated
What you'll need to be successful
- Hold a class 2 is ideal
- Hold a WTR Endorsement is preferred
- Experience within the civil construction sector is required
- Able to operate the excavator, roller and other various small plant proficiently.
- Be able to pass a Drug and Alcohol Screen
- Meet the MOJ security policy requirements
- Reliable and flexible
- This role will see you working Monday – Friday, however, on occasion Saturdays may also be required.
