Title:  Sustainability Specialist

The Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and driven Sustainability Specialist to join the national Sustainability team based in Pyrmont or Arndell Park, NSW. This is a unique opportunity to work in partnership with a range of clients to deliver tangible and practical sustainability outcomes.

What you'll be responsible for

• Develop, drive & implement customised sustainability strategies to support clients in achieving their sustainability goals
• Build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to embed and support the sustainability outcomes of the client
• Explore opportunities to implement unique and innovative waste solutions to support the diversion of client waste from landfill and reduction in emissions 
• Prepare and present waste management reports to clients, including data
• Advise Veolia’s clients on best practice waste management in order to deliver greater efficiency and sustainability outcomes
   

What you'll need to be successful

• Experience in sustainability advantageous but not essential 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to take initiative and work independently with a ‘boots on the ground’ approach
• Knowledge of key sustainability trends and practices
• Certificate 3 in environmental science, sustainability or similar qualification
• Stakeholder and customer engagement
