Title:  Senior Investment Analyst

We are seeking a Senior Finance Analyst - Investments to join our Investment Control and Strategic Projects team. In this role you will provide essential financial modelling and commercial assistance on a range of strategic projects, as well as assisting with developing business cases for large greenfield and brownfield projects and tenders. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager: Investments in this critical finance position, you will also be key to the management of Veolia's investment control process. 

This is a permanent full-time role based in our national head office in Pyrmont 2009.

What you'll be responsible for

• Lead financial modeller for complex transactions & organic growth opportunities
• Review and develop models created by others and provide support to Line of Business Finance General Managers
• Build relationships and partner with the Line of Business financial teams and broader business with respect to building financial models. Provide training and guidance to lift their skill set to best practice.
• Manage and own all financial / commercial model templates including development of new models e.g. project finance modelling, updating and continuous improvement of existing models. 
• Assist with the facilitation of the Investment Committee process and meetings
• Assist with commercial review and financial analysis of growth projects to check they meet the financial hurdle requirements
• Assisting with the preparation of financial business cases, business partnering and commercial management of strategic opportunities
• Provide financial support to stakeholders engaged in identifying and executing growth opportunities
  
  

What you'll need to be successful

• 3+ years financial / commercial experience in a similar Corporate Finance / Investment banking role / Big 4
• Financial modelling  experience 
• Energy from Waste experience advantageous (not essential)
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with finance and non-finance staff
• High Financial acumen with ability to act as an effective business partner to financial and operational staff
• Advanced excel proficiency
• Experience in large multinational organisation would be advantageous
