The Opportunity


We're seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join our Finance team at our Pyrmont office. You'll play a crucial role in delivering high-quality accounting governance and compliance, managing external audits, and preparing statutory reports under IFRS. What you'll be responsible for

 

  • Managing external audit processes and acting as primary contact for auditors

  • Preparing statutory financial statements and disclosure notes under IFRS/AASBs

  • Driving continuous improvement in Group audit coordination processes

  • Ensuring compliance with Group and local accounting standards

  • Managing reporting cycle deadlines and producing quality financial reports

What you'll need to be successful

 

  • University degree (Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent) with CPA/ICAA qualification

  • Experience preparing statutory reporting packages and managing external audits

  • Strong understanding of IFRS/AASBs with advanced Excel and analysis skills

  • SAP experience and Big 4 accounting firm background highly regarded

  • Excellent communication skills with ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
