The Opportunity
Veolia ANZ is seeking a driven National Business Development Manager to join our team in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane. If you're a true business development professional with a passion for hunting and winning new business at a national level, we want to hear from you!
In this crucial role, you'll spearhead business development activities across a vast array of potential clients nationally. Leveraging your exceptional B2B sales expertise, you'll maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities, devise strategies for target markets, articulate our competitive edge, and secure lucrative national contracts - driving growth and achieving ambitious targets. Internal and external stakeholder engagement is key to the success of this role.

What you'll be responsible for
-
Drive a robust pipeline of high-value client opportunities through in-depth prospect assessments
-
Develop competitive solutions, financial models, and winning proposals
-
Lead brand marketing, promotion, and tender efforts
-
Foster strong relationships with internal operations and leadership teams across the business
What you'll need to be successful
-
Relevant tertiary qualification in business (preferred) or equivalent 5+ years of experience
-
Waste industry experience is a plus
-
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
-
Patience, resilience, and ability to manage change
-
Strong reasoning abilities for problem-solving and drawing valid conclusions
-
Solid commercial acumen and experience negotiating service contracts

Proven track record in sales/business development, achieving sales targets

Knowledge of budgeting process and implementing business KPIs

Knowledge of legal T&C and departures

Maintain a strong pipeline of current opportunities in Salesforce
