The Opportunity

This is the perfect next role for a true subject matter expert in getting construction projects delivered. In this key advisory and strategic role, you will use your extensive experience in construction project management to provide expert advice to managers, project teams and project managers to help them deliver the construction of light industrial buildings and infrastructure. Drawing on your knowledge of design, tenders, pricing, contractors, commissioning oversight and operational performance, you will assist and advise them on how to complete their projects with high effectiveness and cost management. You will be the key to their project delivery success.

What you'll be responsible for

  • Provide civil and structural construction expertise to the development and delivery of Veolia’s projects

  • Assist in the development of early concept designs/proof of concepts for civil, site and industrial structures

  • Apply commercial and construction cost knowledge

  • Apply value engineering and design optimisation to civil, site works and building structures

  • Assist in the development of concept designs to provide to contractors for competitive pricing and tendering purposes

  • Utilise your commercial knowledge for cost estimates and testing contractor pricing.

What you'll need to be successful

  • Degree in civil or structural engineering or similar

  • Minimum of ten years of experience, with extensive experience in

  • Australia

  • Demonstrated track record of managing structural and/or civil construction projects

  • Demonstrated track record of structural and/or civil design

  • Driver’s licence (essential)
