Reporting to the General Manager Finance - Investment Control & Strategic Projects, in this critical senior finance position you will partner with key stakeholders to develop business cases for large greenfield and brownfield projects and tenders. You will use your people skills and ability to analyse and assess to drive the identification and execution of  strategic opportunities. Your combination of partnering, commercial analysis and financial modelling will be critical for your success and will help bring some exciting new projects to fulfilment.

What you'll be responsible for

• Act as commercial finance lead in the development of strategic opportunities
• Preparation of financial business cases and present complex financial analyses to senior management and stakeholders
• Develop financial models and support lead financial modeller for greenfield projects and tenders to support strategic decisions
• Coordinate and facilitate the Investment Committee process via review of financial models and memos for presentation to the Committee
• Perform commercial reviews and financial analysis of projects/tenders to check they meet the financial hurdle requirements
   

What you'll need to be successful

• Background in Energy or Energy from Waste Industry would be highly advantageous and well regarded
• Four or more years financial / commercial experience in a similar role
• Corporate Finance / Investment banking role / Big 4 / Large Corporate
• High Financial acumen with ability to act as an effective business partner to financial and operational staff
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with finance and non-finance staff
• Relevant tertiary qualifications with a postgraduate qualification of CA/CPA/CFA
