The Opportunity

 

We’re seeking an experienced procurement professional to join our team in Pyrmont and manage the heavy vehicles spare parts procurement category. 

 

This hands-on role will partner closely with fleet and operations stakeholders to understand business needs, collect and analyse data, identify opportunities and deliver commercial value through effective sourcing and supplier management.  

 

As an individual contributor, you’ll build strong relationships across both operational and corporate environments while developing specialist knowledge of this important portfolio.

What you'll be responsible for

 

  • Manage end-to-end procurement processes and supplier relationships
  • Develop and implement category strategies that respond to operational requirements and deliver commercial value
  • Identify cost savings,through robust data analysis, process and operational improvements, and sustainability enhancements
  • Maintain category insights including market intelligence, spend analysis, and risk management
  • Drive supplier consolidation and standardization initiatives
  • Contribute to sustainability and social procurement initiatives

What you'll need to be successful

 

  • Experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, heavy vehicles,, automotive, spare parts or a related commercial environment is desirable
  • Proven track record in strategic sourcing, negotiation, and contract management
  • Strong organisation and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work confidently with stakeholders across procurement, fleet, finance and operations
  • Strong analytical and commercial capability, with the ability to interpret data and turn insights into practical procurement opportunities
  • Clear and adaptable communication skills, with the ability to engage with both operational and corporate stakeholders
  • Tertiary qualification and professional procurement certification (desirable)
