The Opportunity

As our Finance Manager for Environmental Services, you will lead the financial accounting operations for the company’s largest line of business. This role is responsible for driving accurate financial reporting, ensuring robust governance, and providing commercial insights to senior leadership while managing and developing a finance team of eight people. You will use your extensive experience in month end and year end reporting to rise to the challenge of drawing data from multiple systems and working with large datasets. Your capacity to manage work through your team will be key to your success, along with your ability to be hands-on and fully involved.

What you'll be responsible for

  • Financial leadership and team management

  • Financial reporting with a hands on approach to reporting period close using information from multiple source systems. 

  • Commercial business partnering, acting as a strategic partner to the commercial counterparts of the Line of Business

  • Report on balance sheet risks and opportunities

  • Continuous Process Improvement opportunities

What you'll need to be successful

  • Multiple years of experience in relevant accounting or finance roles, with at least 1–2 years in a dedicated people management capacity.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and fully qualified CPA or CA.

  • High proficiency in large-scale ERP systems (SAP preferred) Salesforce, TM1, Tableau with advanced Excel skills

  • Proven record of managing and scaling a large team within a large and complex environment.
