The Opportunity

We are looking for a Process Engineer for a 12 months fixed term contract. You would be working in a hardworking team of process engineers and reporting into the Water Quality and Process Manager. You would be covering projects at both the Brisbane site and gold coast site. The role would suit someone who is technically focused, has water / wastewater treatment experience and has excellent communication skills. 

 

As a Process Engineer with Veolia you would be responsible for providing technical and engineering management advice and support to operations and engineering teams. To ensure effective and optimal operation of Gold Coast Desalination Plant (GCDP) and the Western Corridor Recycled Water Scheme (WCRWS).

 

You would also ensure process risks are managed and optimised. To improve plant operations and systems such that water quality meets contract requirements and operating costs are reduced.
 

What You’ll need to be successful
  • Bachelor of Engineering or similar. 
  • 5+ years Water or Wastewater treatment experience, ideally desalination processes.
  • Experience in Process and Operations Engineering.
  • Practical hands-on experience in relation to process engineering.
  • Experience in optimising process plants and managing process risk, safety and performance.
  • Knowledge of water industry markets
  • Experience liaising with and managing project stakeholders
  • Experience and or exposure to Quality, Environmental and OH&S Management systems (desirable).
  • Excellent writing ability.
  • High degree of technical skill.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience. 
  • The ability to work in a team environment.
  • Problem solving ability.
  • Enthusiastic and self motivated.
  • Demonstrates a high work ethic.
