Title:  Trade Assistant

The Opportunity

Veolia is seeking Trade Assistants to join the Veolia team at the Alcoa Aluminium Smelter in Portland, Victoria.

What you’ll be responsible for

• Assisting tradespeople and skilled workers with industrial services that we provide to the Alcoa site. 
• High-pressure water jetting
• Vacuum loading
• Manual Cleaning
• Equipment Operations e.g. Vacuum loader, Combo, High-Pressure Water Jetting units.
• Accurate completion of paperwork
• Drive Veolia's 'Always Safe' Culture
• Provide outstanding customer service

What you’ll need to be successful

• Experience within construction or blue-collar roles highly regarded
• A strong mechanical aptitude
• Current drivers licence
• Strong communication skills and willingness to develop new skills
• Commitment to maintaining safe work practices
• Ability to work both in teams and independently
