The Opportunity
Veolia has an exciting opportunity for a Heavy Vehicle or Plant Apprentice Mechanic to join our friendly and supportive team based in Port Kembla. Working in a close-knit team, you will play a key role in the maintenance and servicing of a variety of heavy industrial and commercial waste vehicles, plant and equipment.

What you'll be responsible for
-
Inspecting, maintaining, and repairing VES vehicles and equipment to meet operational needs and deadlines

Ensuring all vehicles operate at maximum efficiency and comply with safety and environmental regulations

Complete scheduled daily work tasks as directed by the Supervisor/Manager in an efficient and timely manner

Collaborating with team members

Completing accurate documentation and adhering to administrative procedures

Promoting and driving Veolia’s ‘Always Safe’ safety culture
What you'll need to be successful
-
Working toward or interested in obtaining your Heavy Vehicle/Heavy Machinery Mechanic trade qualification

Strong safety focus with a proactive approach to improving safety and risk management

Heavy Rigid Licence desirable

Willingness to work within teams
