The Opportunity

 

Veolia has an exciting opportunity for an Operations Coordinator to work with our Kalgoorlie Industrial Services team. This is a FIFO role ex Perth with an 8 days on, 6 days off roster.

What you'll be responsible for

 

  • Prioritising and planning scheduled work activities including allocating resources; labour, equipment and contractors to complete works

  • Facilitate job start ups and review jobs for compliance permits

  • Work with the Supervisor to monitor and lead team performance of all onsite staff including Veolia employees, labour hire and contractors

  • Ensure that all staff are adequately trained and qualified to perform their duties in a safe, competent and responsible manner

  • Manage Veolia assets in line with our policy and processes, ensuring all daily operational checks are completed and documented

  • Maintain strong relationships with all Veolia and client stakeholders to deliver a high performance to contract obligations

What you'll need to be successful

 

  • Previous experience in an operational planning role in a heavy industrial environment

  • A working knowledge of industrial equipment and machinery

  • Intermediate IT skills, with a particular focus on database management and spreadsheets

  • Well-developed communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, including ability to clarify and resolve customer service issues 

  • Highly developed customer focus
