Title:  Lining Technician/General Labourer-Trainee

Based in Auckland, this role is responsible for supporting the trenchless teams ensuring all renewals are delivered effectively. This is an opportunity for someone who is looking to join a global organisation who have an ecological transformation forefront in all we do. Ideally you will have some water/wastewater or stormwater experience, or perhaps come from a general labourer background. Either way, you will be supported and trained to set you up for success.

 

This role requires travel from time to time within NZ as well as Australia, therefore we require you to able to travel without any restrictions.

What you'll be responsible for

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Onsite delivery of water, wastewater and stormwater network renewal upgrades
  • Undertaking designated operations duties under supervision.
  • Fault finding and repairs to equipment, ability to use equipment to undertake repairs under supervision.
  • Working with internal regional and team staff, sharing of knowledge and skills.
  • Being available and completing after hour works as required and under supervision.
  • Whilst under supervision carry out all work using the appropriate Health and Safety, Quality Assurance and Environmental Management System.
  • Comply with VW-ANZ Behaviour Framework. This framework (CRIPT) involves all employees being Customer Focused, having Responsibility in the workplace, offering new ideas through Innovation, setting goals and disciplining oneself through performance, and working together through Team Work,
  • Comply with the requirements of the company’s business management system and the Quality Policy for drinking water, wastewater treatment and disposal to contribute to the company’s commitment to provide safe, high quality drinking water and wastewater services that consistently meets or exceeds the requirements of the Contracts,
  • All employees are responsible for reporting any problems with the business management
  • Undertake required regulatory and role specific on the job training.

Qualifications:

  • Combination of education, training and experience.
  • Computer literacy.

    service.
  • Full Class one NZ Drivers Licence
  • Ability and willingness to work away from home when required (winthin NZ and Australia)
