Title:  Plant Operator

The Opportunity

Are you an experienced Operator looking for a challenging and rewarding role? Join our team at Veolia and play a crucial part in the operation and maintenance of the energy assets at the Barangaroo precinct on Darling Harbour! These energy assets include a district cooling plant, recycled water plant and high voltage embedded network.

What you'll be responsible for

• Operating and maintaining the cutting-edge district cooling plant, recycled water plant, and high voltage embedded network.
• Monitor plant operations, optimise performance, conduct continuous improvement practices, and carry out routine maintenance duties.
• Undertake fault finding practices and run diagnostics.
• Be the point of contact and supervise subcontractors on-site.
• Capture all relevant maintenance data in Veolia’s Asset Management System.
• Ensuring quality workmanship on all jobs.
• Drive the ‘Always Safe’ Culture.

What you'll need to be successful

• A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in a technical role.
• Familiarity with working in an industrial setting. Experience in energy infrastructure is highly regarded (air conditioning, industrial processing).
• Trade qualification in Air Conditioning, Mechanical or Electrical fields is desirable.
• Proficient computer and software skills.
• A working knowledge and understanding of mechanical and/or electrical equipment.
• Reliable transport to Barangaroo (5min walk from Wynyard station).
• Be confident to work unsupervised in an autonomous role.
• Display a high regard for health and safety.
