An opportunity has arisen for an Plant Operator to join our industrial services at our Shepparton Facility. Working alongside our close knit team, you will be responsible for the safe operation of plant and equipment for the receipt, screening, testing, treating and unloading of industrial liquid waste. 

Your main duties will be in the Veolia Liquid  Treatment Plant based in Shepparton.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Accepting and unloading of contractors Liquid Tankers
  • Transfer of Liquid waste into storage tanks using the plants Pump and Flow monitoring systems.
  • Monitor tank levels to assist in minimising the risk of a spill
  • React and respond to spills
  • Complete paperwork as required
  • General maintenance and housekeeping of both fixed and mobile Company assets. 
  • General housekeeping of the plant and grounds.
  • Participate in regular team meetings. 

About You: To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A commitment to safe work practises including following procedure at all times
  • Team and customer focused 
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Computer literate, able to enter collected information into online databases.
  • Ability to undertake a wide range of tasks as required 
  • Flexible to undertake paid overtime as required 
  • A commitment to the highest level of customer service
  • Mechanically minded.  
  • Experience in filtration units or water treatment would be an advantage 
  • Forklift license (desired)
  • HR License (desired)
