Title:  Leading Hand

The Opportunity

ANZ Veolia is looking for an Operations Leading Hand who has a HR Licence and experience in logistics or the waste industry (desirable but not essential) to join the friendly team based in Nudgee. 

 
This role is the first point of contact for our waste drivers and operators to assist with any issues. 

 
This role is Monday to Friday 8.00 am - 4.30 pm overtime and weekends as required.

What you'll be responsible for

• Manage daily waste collection schedules for efficient resource use and job completion
• Optimise routes to improve efficiency and productivity
• Exceed customer expectations; handle complaints and resolutions
• Manage vehicle breakdowns and bin issues; escalate to appropriate team 
• Verify driver confirmations and resolve discrepancies 
• Maintain safety standards; conduct job analysis and risk assessments
   

What you'll need to be successful

• Demonstrated experience in a similar role, ideally within transport / logistics Waste Industry experience (desirable)
• HR drivers licence (desirable)
• Intermediate computer literacy
• Safety conscious mindset
