Title:  HVAC Technician

The Opportunity

In response to Veolia’s continuing growth, we have an opportunity for a HVAC Technician to join our Energy Services team based on the Sunshine Coast. 

 

Reporting to the Contract Manager, you will provide exceptional support as part of a team of professional service technicians, responsible for carrying out operational, maintenance and repair works on Chillers and HVAC equipment.

What you'll be responsible for

  • Carry out planned and unplanned service, maintenance and commissioning of all types of Chiller Plants, Air Handling Units and Unitary Air Conditioning Systems 

  • Accurate and timely completion of required paperwork related to work performed in line with contract KPI’s

  • Fostering and maintaining professional working relationships amongst technicians and apprentices and continually demonstrate the ability to work within pairs and smaller teams 

  • Comply with all safety, company and statutory policies and procedures at all times 

  • Actively participate in all company facilitated training and service meetings as required by the company 

  • As required by the company, facilitate on-site training for technicians/apprentices as well as supervise work performed by an allocated apprentice. 

  • Quote when required, and bring new client leads of small service repairs

What you'll need to be successful

  • Experience and sound knowledge with a variety of HVAC systems on commercial, retail, government projects

  • Trade qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning 

  • Current restricted Electrical License

  • Valid Driver's License

  • Construction Induction Card (white card)

  • Current ARC Licence

  • Sound computer skills

  • Experience in A/C maintenance and Installations of all types  

  • Good time management and customer service skills

  • Positive and proactive approach to safety
