The Opportunity

 

We are seeking an organised, proactive Floating Waste Coordinator to support our Newman depot. In this unique role, you will provide coverage for other coordinators during leave or high-demand periods, gaining exposure across all of our major client sites serviced from our Newman depot. While waste industry and coordination experience is valued, we know effective coordinators can come from a variety of industries and roles. We are looking for a team player with proven organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills. 

 

You’ll coordinate people, resources and equipment in conjunction with our Operations team to ensure that client requirements are met in a reliable and efficient way. As the key contact for clients you will have strong customer service skills and be solution focused.

What you'll be responsible for

 

  • Coordinate day-to-day waste operations to ensure services are delivered efficiently and in line with agreed expectations

  • Working closely with clients and Operational team to communicate priorities and support service delivery.

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders through clear communication and proactive problem solving.

  • Act as the conduit between the client and NWA for all waste management and general enquiries

  • Source technical advice for new, difficult or hazardous waste streams

  • Collect data and report KPIs associated with the contract

  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives

What you'll need to be successful

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities, developed in a fast-paced environment

  • Proven ability to work autonomously

  • Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills with the ability to respond to time-critical issues and make practical decisions

  • Excellent communication skills with the proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients, customers and internal teams.

  • Experience in waste or environmental services is highly regarded but not essential.

  • C class drivers licence
