Title: Finance Analyst - Energy

The Opportunity
Working in a motivated team, you will take charge of a pivotal role in driving our organisation’s financial and operational performance through data analysis, cleansing and processing, meticulous billing process reviews, and the preparation of financial and regulatory reports.
This is a permanent full-time role which is based in Newcastle, 2300.

What you'll be responsible for
- Process and cleanse energy industry data for database storage and financial modeling compatibility
- Transform raw data into actionable insights while maintaining documentation and improving scalability
- Execute bill run processes including pre-checks, exception handling, and complex query resolution
- Manage financial adjustments including ad hoc charges, cash allocation, and refund processing
- Support monthly financial processes including P&L reporting and compliance documentationa
What you'll need to be successful
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets experience
- Ability to sort through large amounts of data with a high attention to detail
- Degree in finance, statistics or related field (highly desirable)
