Title:  Finance Analyst - Energy

The Opportunity

Working in a motivated team, you will take charge of a pivotal role in driving our organisation’s financial and operational performance through data analysis, cleansing and processing, meticulous billing process reviews, and the preparation of financial and regulatory reports.

This is a permanent full-time role which is based in Newcastle, 2300.

What you'll be responsible for

• Process and cleanse energy industry data for database storage and financial modeling compatibility
• Transform raw data into actionable insights while maintaining documentation and improving scalability
• Execute bill run processes including pre-checks, exception handling, and complex query resolution
• Manage financial adjustments including ad hoc charges, cash allocation, and refund processing
• Support monthly financial processes including P&L reporting and compliance documentationa
  
  

What you'll need to be successful

• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets experience
• Ability to sort through large amounts of data with a high attention to detail
• Degree in finance, statistics or related field (highly desirable)
