The Opportunity

Veolia ANZ has an exciting opportunity available for an Industrial Services Technician to join our Technical Projects team based in Henderson WA. This permanent full time position would suit an experienced technician, keen to be a part of a global organisation.

What you'll be responsible for

 

  • Operate HPWJ, vacuum loading, chemical cleaning equipment.

  • Direct and / or assist of project execution employees, conduct training at all levels, and provide guidance on equipment operation, procedures, and safety protocols.

  • Perform chemical cleaning, decontamination, catalyst changeouts, emergency response, bundle pulling, painting, coatings, insulation, and fire protection while ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.

  • Submit weekly hazard IDs, participate in Daily Safe Start meetings, support SHEQ audits, and complete VOCs before equipment operation.

  • Maintain inductions and training requirements, support project planning, and perform duties across lower classifications as operationally needed.

What you'll need to be successful

 

  • Demonstrate minimum 5 years of proven experience in a similar industrial / technical service role.

  • Hold unrestricted driver's license, White Card, HRWL Forklift certification, and MSMSS00004 for high-pressure water jetting operations. A Boiler Operation HRWL is beneficial for candidates, though it is not a mandatory requirement.

  • Possess RIIWHS204E Work safely at heights, RIIWHS202E Enter and work in confined space, and MSMWHS216 Operate breathing apparatus certifications, demonstrating commitment to safety in high-risk environments. 

  • While HRWL and certificates are highly desirable, training may be provided for the right candidate.
  • Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, technical documentation comprehension, and adaptability across diverse industrial settings.

  • Exhibit reliability, excellent communication, teamwork capabilities, strong analytical and problem-solving skills for informed decision-making, attention to detail, and commitment to professional development.
