Title:  Heavy Plant Truck Driver

The Opportunity

Veolia is currently seeking a Heavy Plant Truck Driver within its Resource Recovery Division on the Gold Coast. 

 

This role will ensure the safe and efficient collection, transport and delivering of waste or green waste.

What you'll be responsible for

  • Carry out the loading, collection, transport and disposal of waste and/or green waste according to safe operating procedures and contract requirements at WRC’s and Landfills.

  • Maintain and drive vehicle in safe operation order as well as complete vehicle checks

  • Operating wheel loaders to maintain stockpiles and load haulage trucks

  • Completing scheduled work as instructed.

  • Operating and maintaining individual work areas in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Monitoring any non-conforming materials and reporting any unauthorised tipped material, as identified in Veolia policy and procedure.

  • Providing excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders

What you'll need to be successful

  • Front End Loader (desirable)

  • Experience operating walking floors

  • Heavy Combination license (HC) - minimum 2 years driving experience
