The Opportunity

Veolia ANZ is seeking an Environmental Advisor to join our Resource Recovery team based in the Sydney Region and M5 Corridor. As the Environmental Advisor you will be responsible for managing the environmental compliance and environmental monitoring and associated reporting requirements across multiple Veolia sites and lines of business. The role will also contribute towards environmental compliance objectives across multiple Veolia sites.

What you'll be responsible for

• Ensure requirements of all statutory environmental sampling and reporting obligations are met and reported to relevant authorities

• Compile environmental reports in line with statutory obligations and conduct environmental monitoring

• Carry out operational monitoring as required

• Compile and update operational monitoring spreadsheets in line with site KPIs and licences

• Maintain effective relationships with direct manager, supervisors, operational staff and administration staff
  
  
  

What you'll need to be successful

• Degree in Environmental Sciences or similar relevant subject desired but not essential

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

• Effective interpersonal skills, including ability to clarify, time manage, resolve issues and make decisions

• Proven ability to analyse reports and data

• Strong attention to detail 

• Current NSW drivers license essential
