Title:  Operations Supervisor

The Opportunity

Veolia has a fantastic opportunity for an Operations Supervisor to join our team based in Kurnell 2231. As the Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for hands-on operation of the plant including monitoring plant operations, optimising performance, maintenance of critical assets and day to day running of the plant.

What you'll be responsible for

• Overseeing the end-to-end operation of the plant, including maintenance, sampling, reporting, procurement, and all other aspects of day-to-day running.
• Acting as the primary liaison with clients and stakeholders, preparing and submitting reports, ensuring contractual obligations are met, and addressing any concerns.
• Developing comprehensive maintenance work packs, shutdown schedules, and implementing cost-effective maintenance systems to optimize plant operations.
• Ensuring strict compliance with all integrated management systems, regulations, and industry standards.
• Monitoring plant operations, identifying areas for optimization, and sharing responsibility for maintaining water quality, availability, and controlling operational costs.
• Building and fostering effective working relationships with clients, promoting open communication, and addressing their concerns promptly.
• Cultivating a safety-first and continuous improvement culture within the team, encouraging best practices and process enhancements.
• Driving operational improvements and efficiencies through innovative solutions and strategies to optimize plant performance and productivity.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, providing technical expertise, and contributing to strategic planning and decision-making.

What you'll need to be successful

• Relevant Trade or Tertiary qualification
• Experience in operation and maintenance of wastewater and water treatment plants.
