The Opportunity


Veolia has a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Coordinator to join our team based in Kurnell NSW 2231. As the Maintenance Coordinator, you'll play a crucial role in managing and coordinating all facilities maintenance activities at one of Sydney's critical infrastructure sites. Within this role, you'll enjoy significant autonomy while ensuring our plant operates at peak efficiency.

What you'll be responsible for

 

  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate comprehensive preventative and corrective maintenance programmes across all facility assets, including buildings, HVAC systems, and emergency equipment
  • Lead and manage contractor relationships, ensuring high-quality service delivery whilst maintaining safety standards and cost-effectiveness
  • Implement and monitor compliance with WHS legislation, Building Code of Australia, and environmental regulations
  • Oversee statutory testing programmes for critical systems including fire protection, emergency systems, and HVAC in accordance with Australian Standards
  • Maintain and optimise the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS), ensuring accurate asset data and maintenance records
  • Provide technical expertise for budgeting, lifecycle analysis, and capital works planning
  • Act as the primary point of contact during facility-related emergencies and coordinate urgent maintenance responses
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to minimise operational disruptions
  • Support and supervise site based maintenance staff and trades as required

What you'll need to be successful

 

  • Relevant trade or tertiary qualification
  • Proven experience in facilities maintenance coordination
  • Knowledge of building codes, safety systems, and WHS regulations
  • Experience with maintenance management systems
