The Opportunity

Veolia ANZ is seeking a Vehicle Logistics Officer (VLO) to join our Waste team in Kilburn - 5084. Reporting directly to the Fleet Manager, you will play a pivotal role within a close-knit Operations Team. This position requires exceptional time management, problem-solving, and administrative skills, combined with the agility to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will take ownership of subcontractor route management and reporting while building strong collaborative relationships that are essential to delivering high-performing service outcomes.

What you'll be responsible for

  • Prepare, distribute, and maintain daily runsheets for subcontractor routes

  • Process all runsheets and job confirmations across multiple platforms to required standards, ensuring accurate billing and timely archiving

  • Manage subcontractor portals and deliver regular reports to internal and external stakeholders

  • Identify process inefficiencies, proactively escalate issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives

  • Perform accurate data entry and conduct thorough reviews to support reliable management reporting

  • Collaborate with customers, administration staff, sales representatives, and managers to deliver exceptional service and resolve issues efficiently

What you'll need to be successful

  • Demonstrated administration skills with strong attention to detail and organisational capability

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to challenges

  • Effective time management skills and the ability to prioritize competing demands

  • Agility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with excellent communication and negotiation capabilities

  • A genuine commitment to delivering exceptional customer service

  • Certificate IV in Transport and Logistics, or equivalent workplace experience (desirable)

  • Certificate IV in Leadership and Management, or equivalent workplace experience (desirable)
