The Opportunity

 

We are looking for an experienced Team Leader to manage the operation of sludge plant equipment as part of one of our most important contracts. This is a FIFO role based at the Santos Moomba plant in the Cooper Basin (SA) that could be done operating from either Adelaide or Brisbane. You will be responsible for leading a small team (4) and manage the plant with regard to phase of treatment, including preparation of chemicals, water/sludge treatment, sludge transfer, water run-off and fat treatment. This is a 10 month contract initially, but with excellent opportunities for further employment with a market leading organisation.

What you'll be responsible for

 

  • Check daily instructions and prioritise accordingly to complete work tasks in accordance with required deadlines
  • Undertake any required pre start checks prior to beginning work tasks 
  • Ensure all roles are clearly identified understood, whether as operator, observer or assisting additional crew members in completing scheduled tasks
  • Notify Supervisor immediately of any incidents or irregularities relating to the contract service levels
  • Look for more efficient ways of undertaking work which result in cost savings without compromising safety or quality
  • Provide basic plant maintenance
     

What you'll need to be successful


 

  • Qualification in Process and/or Chemical Engineering or relevant trade qualifications would be advantageous
  • Demonstrated industry experience
  • Proven management / supervisory experience
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Drivers license
