Title: Health & Safety Manager

The Opportunity
This is a permanent full-time role based in Kilburn, South Australia 5084. You’ll provide health and safety leadership to a team of Advisors while also providing compliance advice to operational management. You will support personnel in achieving safety excellence and maximising company safety performance through audit, engagement, training, investigation, and continuous improvement.

What you'll be responsible for
- Lead and oversee all workplace hazard identification, risk management, and compliance activities.
- Drive a proactive safety culture, champion employee engagement, and facilitate the implementation of industry-leading safety programs.
- Direct the development, implementation, control measures, and injury prevention strategies, collaborating with the injury prevention team..
- Oversee regulatory reporting, audits, inspections, and ensure compliance with legislation, standards, and client requirements, communicating changes as needed.
- Strategically manage onboarding, induction, ongoing health and safety training, communication initiatives, and support for Health and Safety Representatives (HSRs).
- Lead incident investigations, analyse safety data for trends, drive continuous improvement, and serve as senior management's key advisor and point of contact on all health and safety matters.
What you'll need to be successful
- Formal qualifications in OH&S or extensive industry experience in a similar OH&S position
- Extensive experience from either transport and logics sector, construction, resources or other heavy industries
- Certificate IV in workplace training and assessing (desired)
- Auditing qualification and experience (Lead Auditor is desirable)
- Current Driver’s Licence
- ICAM Investigation training
