Title:  Operator Maintainer

The Opportunity
 

Veolia is seeking a Mechanical Technician to be based full time in Karratha 6714. Within this role you will be responsible for operating and maintaining water and wastewater treatment plants/assets at client sites throughout the Pilbara.

What you’ll be responsible for
 

• Operate and maintain treatment plants and equipment according to standard procedures
• Monitor plant operations and assist in plant optimisation
• Conduct water quality sampling and manage documentation
• Perform routine and reactive maintenance duties
• Liaise with and supervise contractors as required
• Manage resources, tools, and equipment to maintain operations
• Ensure a risk-based approach to operations and maintenance
• Generate client and internal reports
• Occasional evening and weekend work, as well as regular travel within the Pilbara region, including overnight stays 
   

What You’ll Need to Be Successful
 

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in water treatment operations
• Mechanical qualifications - trade or equivalent
• Understanding of mechanical equipment and safety/environmental issues
