Veolia ANZ is currently looking for an experienced Liquid Tanker Operator to join our liquid waste team in Tom Price. This role will be reporting into the Operations Supervisor and is an exciting opportunity for someone who has previously operated a HR vehicle and has worked within waste management. 

This is a full time, permanent position via Tom Price on a FIFO or DIDO basis. Rosters are continuous on either a 2/1 or 3/1 split.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Collect and transport septic liquid waste and sludges from customer’s premises and deliver to an authorised licensed waste disposal depot
  • Conduct screening, testing and unloading of industrial liquid waste in accordance with Velia’s policy and procedure
  • Follow the appropriate work instruction or procedure for the treatment of solid and liquid waste for each specific phase of treatment
  • Work in a safe and responsible manner 
  • Collect and review daily run sheets and ensure all instructions are understood 

 

About You: What You'll Need To Be Successful

 

  • HR License (Required)
  • HC License (Desirable)
  • Previous experience operating a HR vehicle  
  • Previous experience in the waste industry 
  • Certificate II in Waste Management (desirable)
  • Ability to work autonomously 
  • Positive can do attitude and ability to learn quickly
  • Good problem solving skills 
  • Ability to conduct pit permit interview screens and tests independently
