The Opportunity

 

Veolia ANZ has a fantastic opportunity for a Vehicle Logistics Officer to join our team in Kilburn, SA 5084. This is a critical Fleet Control and Logistics Dispatch position, and we invite experienced Fleet Controllers or Dispatchers to apply. In this role, you will be a champion of our "Always Safe" culture, proactively coordinating service collections and providing operational expertise to our customers.

What you'll be responsible for

 

  • Acting as the primary point of contact for all driver and fleet-related issues, providing immediate operational support and problem-solving.
  • Optimising route productivity and maximising cost-centre profitability by identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing route optimisations.
  • Conducting comprehensive daily driver debriefs to ensure all safety concerns, load weights, and service completions are recorded accurately.
  • Managing strict compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and National Heavy Vehicle (NHVR) fatigue laws across the fleet.
  • Liaising with external subcontractors and maintenance departments to ensure service delivery and vehicle readiness.
  • General administration, reporting, and stock ordering as required to support logistics operations.

 

What you'll need to be successful

 

  • Demonstrated expertise in fleet scheduling and route optimisation, with a focus on driving operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Strong knowledge of transport compliance, specifically Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and NHVR fatigue laws.
  • Excellent operational problem-solving, communication skills, and intermediate computer literacy (Google Workspace preferred).
