Title:  Tradesperson - Mechanic

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our depot at Jandakot. Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you will service, maintain and repair our modern Heavy Rigid Fleet to ensure that all vehicles work to maximum efficiency in a safe, environmentally sound manner in line with regulatory and Veolia requirements. 

Key Responsibilities:


  • Routine maintenance and repairs of a wide variety of vehicles and equipment including Commercial Service Vehicles, Industrial Service and High Pressure Water Jetting fleet and accessories, Fleet Vehicles and related accessories
  • Provide on the job training and guidance to apprentices and industrial operators
  • Fabrication and welding
  • Understand all processes, maintenance requirements and operational issues occurring on a day to day basis
  • Understand and support Veolia Environmental Services commitment to meeting/exceeding customer expectations and continual improvement
  • Assist in the maintenance of a clean and safe working environment
About You:


  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety
  • Must hold a current Heavy Diesel Mechanic (Transport) Trade Certificate
  • A Valid HR or HC Licence is desirable
  • High customer focus and be able to liaise and communicate at all levels
  • Proven mechanical knowledge and experience
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
