The Opportunity

 

Veolia is seeking a Cadet Engineer to join our water team based at Cameron Park, 2285.  As the Cadet Engineer, you will provide technical support to our Wastewater Treatment Operations Team, ensuring the smooth operation of our water &  wastewater treatment plants. You will assist with data entry, monitoring, compliance assessment, troubleshooting, and reporting, as well as participate in process investigations and problem solving. 

 

The position is part time, up to four days per week.

What you'll be responsible for

 

 

  • Collect data for weekly, monthly, and annual reporting
  • Generate operational, contractual, and regulatory reports
  • Participate in monthly and annual compliance tracking requirements
  • Maintain, develop, and improve operational and compliance spreadsheets using VBA macros
  • Assist with process investigations, troubleshooting, and problem solving
  • Provide technical support for potential upgrade/improvement projects
  • Assist with process optimisation to ensure effluent quality meets contract and regulatory requirements
     

What you'll need to be successful

 

 

  • Studying for a Bachelor Degree in engineering (mechanical, process, chemical, environmental, or similar degree)
  • The ability to work in a team environment
  • An interest in water management
