The Opportunity


We're seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join our People & Safety team on a short-term, part-time contract until August 2026. You'll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the dynamic heavy resources and mining sector, across Western Australia, supported by a passionate and driven Operational and HR team, who are committed to your growth and success.

What you'll be responsible for

 

  • Provide day-to-day HR advice and support in effectively managing performance, conduct, and grievances to both supervisors and mangers

  • Responding to queries relating to Enterprise Agreements, employee terms and conditions, workplace policies and procedures, and relevant legislation

  • Assisting in the coordination and facilitation of key people processes including performance reviews, talent reviews, and learning & development activities

  • Leading employee engagement initiatives covering communication, health & wellbeing, recognition & reward, equity & diversity, and change management

  • Acting as a key point of contact between the business and Shared Services Payroll, ensuring processes and queries are resolved efficiently and compliance obligations are met

What you'll need to be successful

 

  • Previous experience as an HR Advisor/HR Business Partner (generalist) within an industrial setting

  • Degree qualification in HR or related business discipline

  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach to managing people matters

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels

  • The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Working knowledge of HRIS systems would be advantageous

  • Driver's License and own vehicle, with demonstrated commitment to safety and Veolia's Always Safe Charter
