The Opportunity

We currently have a vacancy for a Reticulation Networks Operator based in South Taranaki who will be responsible for operating and maintaining water, wastewater and stormwater reticulation networks. This role is to ensure service delivery demonstrates Veolia's commitment to continuous improvement, innovation and customer service while meeting performance and key performance indicators and applying health and safety procedures. Ideally you will have water industry experience - however training will be provided.

What you'll be responsible for

  • Preventative and reactive maintenance of the water, wastewater and stormwater reticulation networks. 
  • Act as a point of contact for customer requests for service. Appropriately respond to these in a timely manner, assessing and coordinating remedial action if required. 
  • Accurately log all reports and jobs, completing the necessary paperwork and filing where required 
  • Participate in the development and implementation of Capital Works improvement programs 
  • Provide network operations support to the Networks Supervisor and Veolia team undertaking reticulation repairs, assisting with major repairs and replacing reticulated pipelines. 
  • Positively contribute to the district based operations teams by fostering effective working relationships with field, engineering and management staff, client representatives, customers and suppliers. 
  • Undertake such general duties as required for the effective provision of services to the client and customers.

  • Participation of on-call roster
  • Basic Understanding of Health and Safety legislation.
  • Current full driver's licence (preferably with Class 2)
  • Wheels, Tracks & Rollers endorsements (preferred but not essential)
  • Traffic Management (preferred but not essential)
  • Working at Heights (preferred but not essential)
  • Confined Space (preferred but not essential)
