The Opportunity

 

Veolia is looking for a Apprentice Mechanic to join our Welshpool service department. This is a great entry-level opportunity for someone who wants to learn a trade in the service, repair and maintenance of our fleet of heavy diesel vehicles. The ideal applicant would be someone who has completed high school education and who has their own transport and license.

What you’ll be responsible for


 

  • Carrying out work in support of and in compliance with Veolia policies and Asset Management Standards
  • Prioritise repairs according to safety, non safety or operational constraints.
  • Ensuring repairs and maintenance of SUEZ equipment is conducted in accordance with Fleet policy.
  • Maintaining high safety standards aiming for zero incidents in the workplace, with all incidents reported to management.
  • Ensuring the maintenance of equipment as per manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Adherence to all compliance requirements, including compiling supporting paperwork
  • Checking time sheets and service sheets.
  •  


 

What you’ll need to be successful


 

  • Preferably a pre apprenticeship certificate II
  • A passion for the mechanic industry 
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A mechanical aptitude
