The Opportunity
In this newly created position, you will be responsible for the commercial side of one of Veolia’s most important contracts. Leading a small team, you will focus on developing and managing commercial strategy, governance and compliance, as well as mitigating commercial risk, improving customer centricity, reducing costs and maximising returns. Together with the contract’s Operations Program Manager, you will work to optimise service to this key client, embedding commercial acumen to maximise overall commercial performance.

What you'll be responsible for

Oversee development of annual resource recovery programs and financial plans. Oversee budgeting, cost control, pricing,

and financial forecasting to maximise contract outcomes.

Partnering with the Program Managers and Finance Manager to drive financial performance within the contract relationship
-
In depth understanding and interpretation of the contract details to ensure risk are managed, opportunities explored and services delivered to client expectations

Oversee development of project and non core supply opportunities and business cases, negotiate commercial contracts, and manage all contractual obligations

Management of the portfolio of subcontractor arrangements engaged under RRSA.
What you'll need to be successful

More than 10 years’ relevant industry experience, including more than five years’ experience in leadership positions.

Tertiary qualifications in business management, financial management desirable and/or equivalent work experience and extensive experience in commercial transformation programs/projects

Strong ability to converse with both the business and customers at all levels of the organisation.
