Title:  Environmental Advisor - Gold Coast Desal

The Opportunity

Veolia ANZ is seeking an Environmental Advisor to join our team based at the Gold Coast Desalination Plant. As the Environmental Advisor you will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of Veolia business and environmental objectives through environmental monitoring and compliance. You will work as an active member to provide environmental knowledge, support and solutions to the Veolia team. This includes recommending preventative actions that ensure compliance with environmental obligations and drive best practice environmental outcomes and consistency across operational sites.

What you'll be responsible for

• Set the technical direction for environmental and land management, ensuring adherence to relevant environmental legislation

• Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory bodies on environmental matters

• Develop and maintain environmental management plans, procedures, and work instructions to ensure comprehensive and compliant environmental management

• Investigate environmental incidents and generate reports within required timeframes

• Work collaboratively with operations to ensure environmentally compliant operation of facilities.

• Manage environmental consultants and land management contractors, mentor team members, and foster a constructive team culture aligned with organisational values.
  
  
  
  

What you'll need to be successful

• Degree qualification in Environment, Sustainability, Environmental Engineering or equivalent

• Experience in an environmental support role

• Stakeholder management skills

• Proven ability to analyse reports and data
