Title:  Workshop Foreperson

The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and driven Workshop Foreperson to oversee the day to day operations of our fleet maintenance workshop, and provide instruction, guidance and support to our dedicated team of Mechanics.

This is a hands-on role that combines technical expertise with strong leadership skills to deliver quality results. 

Monday - Friday - 12.30pm to 21.00 pm weekdays - Overtime as required.

What you'll be responsible for

• Lead daily toolbox talks

• Schedule routine and reactive maintenance tasks

• Support mechanics to meet deadlines and quality standards

• Perform quality checks and sign off completed work

• Assess and action driver fault reports promptly

• Monitor and enforce workshop safety protocols

• Maintain positive workplace conduct and culture

• Work with site supervisor to optimise resource management

What you'll need to be successful

• Australian recognised Heavy Vehicle trade qualification

• Demonstrable experience as a supervision role

• Proven mechanical knowledge with experience on Volvo, Isuzu, Iveco drivetrains

• HR licence

• Previous waste industry experience and familiarity with S/Pak, Bucher, West-Trans bodies highly desirable

• Excellent communication skill

• A positive, can-do attitude, focused on employee engagement and teamwork
  
  

Willingness to undergo a National Police Clearance and medical check relevant to the role
