The Opportunity

Veolia is ANZ's largest environmental service provider. We have an exciting Engineering Support Officer opportunity working under contract to provide operational services for the Hunter water Corporations (HWC) water and wastewater treatment plants. Veolia are currently delivering additional scope works across a number of the facilities. 

You will be the key person in quantifying resources expended on these additional works. The resources include labour, subcontractors, materials, plants and more. 


Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Collection the accurate records of all costs incurred with each project
  • Forecasting of works completed to date and cost to completion
  • Assist the project manager or officer in control of the works with procurement of resources and the delivery of projects.
  • Processing invoices and progress claims from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Assist with procurement
  • Supervision of Contract works
  • Writing of reports

You’ll need:

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant engineering field or equivalent experience. 
  • Relevant experience in the Water industry, construction or contract management field.
  • Driver’s license. 
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work autonomously and proactively
  • High level analysis and problem solving skills
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Excel
