The Opportunity


In response to Veolia’s continuing growth, we have an opportunity for a HVAC Technician to join our Energy Services team based in Sippy Downs on the Sunshine Coast. The site is known for innovation, and you will have exposure to a range of technology geared towards sustainable outcomes. You will be supported by a team of Technicians and Engineers to ensure that a high level of service is achieved to meet contract obligations.

Reporting to the Contract Manager, you will provide exceptional support as part of a team of professional service Technicians, responsible for carrying out operational, maintenance and repair works on a range of HVAC equipment.

What you'll be responsible for

 

  • Carry out planned and unplanned maintenance, maintenance and commissioning of all types of Chiller Plants, Air Handling Units and Unitary Air Conditioning Systems HVAC equipment in a site based role. 
  • Accurate and timely completion of required paperwork related to work performed in line with contract KPI’s
  • Fostering and maintaining professional working relationships amongst the site team and Client. Technicians and apprentices, and continually demonstrate the ability to work within pairs and smaller teams 
  • Comply with all safety, company and statutory policies and procedures at all times 
  • Actively participate in all company facilitated training and service meetings as required by the company 

What you'll need to be successful

 

  • Experience and sound knowledge with a variety of commercial HVAC systems 
  • Trade qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning 
  • Current restricted Electrical License
  • Construction Induction Card (white card)
  • Current ARC Licence
  • Experience in A/C maintenance and Installations of all types  
  • Good time management and customer service skills
  • Ability and confidence to work alone and in team environment
  • Positive and proactive approach to safety
