Title:  Electrical Team Leader - Wellington

Reporting to the Assets & Maintenance Manager, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Team Leader to join our Wellington Team.  You will be responsible for carrying out and overseeing the work of an Electrical nature for the Wellington Wastewater Treatment Plant Services Contract. This consists of planned and reactive maintenance as well as installation of new works from time to time.

The key responsibilities of the position include:

  • Electrical Maintenance and Coordination - Support the maintenance operators; ensure maintenance activities are completed to required standards; liaise with SCADA & Electrical Engineers and work within time and budget constraints.
  • Leadership - Ability to build successful working relationships; ensuring the team is ready & enabled to deliver results; and lead/guide the team.
  • Health & Safety - Ensure required maintenance, control and reporting is undertaken; contribute to the management of Health & Safety; and compliance.
  • Continuous Improvement - Ensure service delivery demonstrates Veolia’s commitment to continuous improvement; and promote new initiatives.
  • Administration - Complete associated administration work in a timely manner; managing the electrical on call roster; purchase orders; and ordering of replacement parts and equipment.
  • Special Projects - Scope, quote and project manage capital upgrades where required.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • New Zealand registered Electrician
  • Minimum of 5 year’s experience working in a similar role
  • Leadership skills and experience
  • Effective communication skills as well as being able to plan and organise
