The Opportunity

Working in a close-knit team, you’ll operate and maintain the Brine concentrator and Water Treatment plant and equipment efficiently, and provide a range of support services to reach operational goals. In your day-to-day activities, you’ll comply with, and promote, Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental policies and Site Safe Operating Procedures. And in the long run, you’ll contribute to a sustainable future for Australia.

You’ll need:

  • Experience in day-to-day operations of a Water treatment plant (desired), and / or a Heavy Vehicle/Heavy Machinery Mechanic trade qualification
  • Forklift Licence & Drivers Licence
  • Confined Space Certificate or Dogman Certificate
  • Elevated Work Platform (EWP)
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Integrity and a positive attitude 
  • Quality and environmental awareness
  • Outstanding organisational and time management skills
  • Robust problem-solving & decision making abilities 
  • Strong safety focus with a proactive approach to improving safety and risk management 
  • Fitness

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you’ll work closely with a small team, as well as various suppliers and contractors. And you’ll learn from them, as much as they learn from you.

While ‘Operations’ is about process and rhythm, you’ll find plenty of variety in your role. In addition to operating the plant, you’ll play a key role in measuring and reporting the facility’s output, maintaining a robust safety culture and identifying more efficient ways of working that don’t compromise safety or quality.

In this role, you’ll be trained across a number of concrete skills for the job in hand. Many of our Operators have continued to progress their career with us, moving into supervisor, manager and site manager roles.
