The Opportunity
Veolia ANZ is seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team in Corio, Victoria (3214).
In this role, you'll be responsible for processing clinical waste at our EPA-licensed facility. This site is a crucial hub in our operations, supported by an extensive collection fleet that serves healthcare providers across Victoria.
As a Machine Operator, you'll play a vital role in our commitment to safe and efficient waste management, ensuring that clinical waste is processed to the highest environmental and safety standards.
Work Schedule

Monday to Friday: 5:00 PM to 1:30 AM (night shift)

What you'll be responsible for

Process customer waste, including manual bin management
-
Operate various machinery, including treatment plant, boiler and washing systems

Ensure safe and compliant waste disposal practices
-
Champion proper recycling methods and lead by example
-
Maintain service levels and promptly address any contract-related issues

Keep processing areas and premises clean and organised
-
Always wear the personal alarm system during solo work

Actively participate in and promote Veolia's 'Always Safe' culture

Commit to maintaining a safe work environment for yourself and others
What you'll need to be successful

Forklift Licence (Highly Desirable)

Experience in the waste industry is a bonus but not essential

Positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment

Safety conscious mindset
