The Opportunity


Join our close-knit team at Veolia's Chullora call centre, where you'll be the first point of contact for residents and councils across Ryde, Canada Bay, Parramatta, GRC, and Infrastructure contracts. This is a permanent full-time role with flexible start times, no weekend or public holiday work, and a genuinely supportive team environment.

What you'll be responsible for

 

  • Handling 40–50 inbound calls per day covering missed services, damaged bins, and bulk clean-up bookings

  • De-escalating customer complaints and resolving issues with professionalism and empathy

  • Logging and updating customer interactions accurately in the CRM

  • Liaising with councils and internal teams to ensure issues are followed through to resolution

What you'll need to be successful

 

  • Previous experience in a call centre or customer-facing role

  • Confident navigating databases and computer systems

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to de-escalate difficult conversations

  • Organised, reliable, and able to manage a high volume of calls

  • Experience in the waste industry is a bonus, but not essential
