Title:  Laboratory Coordinator

The Opportunity

Veolia ANZ has a fantastic opportunity for a Laboratory Coordinator to join our team based at the Kenya  Water Treatment Plant, Chinchilla 4413. As the Laboratory Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and reliable analysis of water samples, compliance with regulatory requirements, and the delivery of safe and high quality water to customers.

What you'll be responsible for

• Manage daily laboratory operations including scheduling, sampling, labelling, waste management, stock control, procurement and database management.

• Implementing and maintaining quality control measures to ensure accurate and reliable testing results. 

• Conducting and overseeing testing and analysis of water samples to assess water quality.

• Ensuring all testing is compliant with regulatory requirements.

• Providing training and guidance to Operational staff on laboratory techniques, safety procedures, and quality control measures. 

What you'll need to be successful

• Tertiary qualifications in a chemical or laboratory based discipline.

• Experience with sampling methods and analytical testing

• Knowledge of quality assurance systems

• Ideally, experience in water and wastewater
